World Book Night 2014

World Book Night on 23rd April - reputedly the date of Shakespeare's birth - saw books released by The Priory into the local community to encourage reading and ownership in unusual ways.

The academy's library 'released' 15 copies of four books into the school community for ‘finders’ to take home, read and then redistribute within their own community:  primary schools, village halls, sports centres, local shops, churches, parents’ workplaces etc.

School librarians placed the books around the school site in the run-up to World Book Night. Students have since entered into the spirit of the project and, once read, released the books into the wild.
