Competitive Swimming

The Priory Academy LSST swimming squad enter the ESSA Competitions which compete against schools across the country.  We are proud to have a fantastic record of regularly reaching the national finals, which means we have one of the top 16 teams in the country.

In 2013, we helped organise and then took part in a Secondary School gala at North Kesteven School which invited schools in Lincolnshire to enter.  Each year we also enter the North Kesteven Bi-athlon.

We offer the opportunity for non-competitive club swimmers to have a taste of swimming at a competitive level by entering the Federation Games.  This is always a lively and most enjoyable event held at our neighbouring Priory City of Lincoln Academy.

Competitive swimmers learn lifelong skills such as effective time management, dedication and goal setting – all of which transfer to successful adult life.  Although many of our swimmers train outside of school, The Priory Academy LSST supports and encourages competitive swimming and continually looks for new events to enter.
