Awards Code

Merits

Merits are awarded for hard work in lessons, as well as effort and involvement across the entire school.

  • 25 merits in Year 7 entitles you to a Priory pencil
  • 50 merits in Year 7 entitles you to a Blue Merit Badge and a ruler
  • 100 merits in Year 7 entitles you to a Merit tie and a pen
  • 150 merits in Year 7 entitles you to a Priory zip buddy
  • 25 merits in Year 8 entitles you to a Priory pencil
  • 50 merits in Year 8 entitles you to a Green Merit Badge and a pen
  • 100 merits in Year 8 entitles you to a Priory water bottle
  • 150 merits in Year 8 entitles you to a Priory zip buddy
  • 50 merits in Year 9 entitles you to a Red Merit Badge
  • 100 merits in Year 9 entitles you to a Priory Merit Certificate
  • 50 merits in Year 10 or 11 entitles you to a Silver Merit Laser Badge
  • 100 merits in Year 10 or 11 entitles you to a Gold Merit Laser Badge
  • 200 merits in one year entitles you to a paperweight and tea and cakes with the Headmaster
  • In Years 9, 10 and 11, for every multiple of 10 merits, you will be entered into a prize draw

House

The House system is an important and integral part of school life. House points are awarded for involvement as well as for excelling in a particular House activity. See the House Module booklets to see what’s going on - House Events Module Booklets.

  • take part in 10 House events in Year 7, 8, or 9 and you will be rewarded with a silver star
  • take part in a further 10 House events in any Year and you will be rewarded with a gold star

Colours

Colours Awards are given to recognise outstanding commitment in Sport, the Arts and the Community. For each of these three categories, a Bronze, Silver and Gold award is given. 

Student of the Module

This is awarded to one student in each year group for an exceptional contribution to the life of the school or the wider community

Attendance

100% attendance is recognised with a certificate at the end of every module and at the end of every year.

Responsibilities

There are many positions of responsibility within the school and these include: Form Captain, House Captain, Librarian, School Council Representative and Sports Leader.  In the Sixth Form recognition is given to those who fulfil the following roles: Head Boy/Girl and their Deputies, Senior House Leaders and Senior Prefects.

 

 

    The Priory Federation of Academies, Lincoln
