Lincoln Running success

10k weekend success

Just to continue the success of our athletes, please congratulate Harrison Wood in Year 10 and Ellanor Brown in Year 7. On Saturday 21st March they both ran in The Lincoln Mini Run based at the Yarborough Leisure Centre which saw 340 runners aged between 9 and 15 competing in two races which have launched the Asda Foundation City of Lincoln 10k weekend.

A field of 225 aged 9 to 11 took part in the 2.8 kilometres' mini race and another 125 girls and boys between 11 and 15 contested the junior category.

Harrison Wood, repeated his 2014 junior triumph in 18 minutes 10 seconds, well ahead of the second-place athlete, 12, (20.05) and Ellanor Brown finished 3rd  in her race in 21.36.

There were also a few other of our students taking part in the Lincoln 10K raising money for charities!!  In particular Thomas Trimble in Year 11 finished  in 37th position at a time of 35:26  absolutely amazing!!! Well done to everyone who took part!

Many Thanks
