7th May - Literary Festival

We are delighted to announce that The Priory Academy LSST will be hosting a Literary Festival on 7th May. The aim of the day is to inspire, challenge and help to instil a passion for reading and creativity that we value so highly at Academy.

A wide range of activities is taking place throughout the day and we are pleased that Georgia Twynham will be leading a talk for parents at 6pm until 7pm on the theme of raising readers and writers. This is taking place in the Gagarin Debating Chamber in the Newton Centre science block.

Mr Brown, Assistant Headteacher, champions the festival as "an event to celebrate students being creative, provoking them to tap into their imaginations".

Our festival logo has been designed by Year 10 graphics student Charlotte Ripley. Charlotte won a logo design competition organised by Technology teacher Mrs Ward, who selected Charlotte's entry because "it is original and eye catching".

Our festival programme includes an exciting series of workshops with authors, industry experts, illustrators and poets, all sharing their work and knowledge with students across KS3, KS4 and KS5. The event will also involve parents and staff.

Please view our brochure for more details.
