Laura's work is chosen for national magazine

Year 13 Creative Writing student Laura Williamson has had her work accepted for publication in a national magazine.

Laura's piece Last Request will appear in the March edition of Myths of the Near Future, a magazine described as "a fanfare to the imminent, the almost, the unheard-of".

Mrs Oliver, who teaches The Priory's Creative Writing A-Level, said: "This is an incredible success and accomplishment for Laura."

The Myths of the Near Future website says the magazine is dedicated to "startling, exceptional, contemporary creative writing from writers aged 16-25".

The standard of submissions for the March topic of 'Revolution' was extremely high. Myths Editor Jessica Bellman wrote to Laura to say: "I am pleased to say that we’ve chosen to include Last Request in the upcoming fifth issue of our magazine. Congratulations, we had to make some very difficult decisions!"
