Students Can't Wait to Ski in the Alps

During the February Half Term, members of Year 8 and 9 will be venturing into the almighty French Alps. They will be travelling at an astonishing aeroplane speed of 550mph with their final destination in sight: Alpe d’Huez. The pupils will be staying at the popular Clubhotel Vallée Blanche, in the heart of the great mountain range.

The trip begins on 16th February and the pupils will arrive back at school on 22nd. Jessica, who is going on the trip, said, "We are going down the slopes in the day and at night we are going to be swimming. I'm really looking forward to learning new skiing skills." Gathering from this information, it seems that everyone is looking forward to this excursion and is extremely excited about what it has in store.

It is a wonderful chance for pupils to visit another country, learn about the culture of the locals, try traditional food, begin to learn how to ski or snowboard, socialise with friends and definitely make new ones! You get the opportunity to stay in throughout the evenings or go out and explore! Some options are: going night skiing in the dark, mastering the slippery art of ice skating or shopping in groups for presents, chocolate or clothes.

I'm sure the lucky students who are attending will have a lot to tell us on their return!
